“Lives Lived for Life” honours individuals who have devoted their lives to advancing dignity for all. Despite facing significant political and social opposition, these champions have remained steadfast in upholding the truth of the pro-life message, and we celebrate their unwavering commitment to this important cause.
The Catholic Register, Daily TV Mass, and Salt + Light Media have partnered to celebrate Lives Lived for Life. These Canadian Catholic media organizations have joined forces to spread the message of life.
On October 6, The Catholic Register will publish a special full-color magazine, Lives Lived for Life, featuring 12 stories of Canadians dedicated to the cause of life, as taught by the Church.
From October 6 to 12, Daily TV Mass will offer a Week of Masses for Prayers for Life, with the Prayer for the Reverence of Life and the community’s prayer intentions will be included each day.
On October 16, Salt + Light TV will air a 30-minute episode as part of its Behold series, featuring interviews with four individuals highlighted in Lives Lived for Life.

The Catholic Register’s “Lives Lived for Life” is offered to readers to amplify the reality of authentic love articulated by Pope Francis and Archbishop Leo by presenting 12 stories of Canadians out of the thousands across the country who take defence of life as their starting point and extend themselves to the promotion of it as a gesture of faith in life. It is about their lives, and the reality of their experience, not about rehearsing abstract ideological arguments painfully known to all of us. We hope their dedication, commitment and faith can inspire you and others in support of Life

This special edition of Behold features the stories and testimonies of people who have dedicated their lives to life. We meet Deacon George and Susan Jurenas, whose four daughters’ adoption stories are filled with both joys and sorrows. We also learn about the street outreach work of Katie Somers with Toronto Right to Life, discover what has kept Jim Hughes motivated during his 50 years in the pro-life movement, and accompany Paula Celani as she spends time with her friends in the final stages of their lives.
